Here is the Astrocamp activity schedule for this week if you are looking for something extra and interesting to do!

Science Chapter 6 Journal Grading Sheet - Checklist

Here is the checklist for your chapter 6 science journal. It is shorter than usual since several of your grades are quizzes you did on Forms as well as other things we did together via Zoom.

This will be due, emailed to me, no later than Monday, May 11.

Please go through the list, make sure all 10 things are completed well, and then submit it to me.....how you might ask??

I am not going to have you turn in your actual science journal to me. What I would like you to do is scan each page of your journal using a scanning app and then email the file to me. I recommend a scanning app as it's easier for you to use and it's a much smaller file than sending individual pictures.

I use a scanning app on my iPhone that works really well called GeniusScan. It's free. You simply open the app, take pictures of all the pages, then click "done". It puts all of the photos into one file that you can then send directly to my email address. I use it to post our spelling correction pages each week - works like a charm!

Here is a link to what the app looks like. If you have another scanning app you would like to use that's fine!

Please let me know if you have questions!

Science Fair Presentation Information!

Hi everyone!

It's finally here...your choices for presenting your Science Fair projects!

Out of all of the possible ways you could do your presentations without all of us being in the same room, these three seemed to be the best.

I will post specific details, dates, instructions, etc., under "Science Fair 2019-2020" on my Edlio page by Monday, 4/20. You should wait until then to start since there are specific things you need to do for each option to make sure your presentation is complete.

In the meantime, be thinking about which of these three options works best for you!

Final Science Fair Project Deadlines

This paper was passed out on Tuesday, March 10 to all students who were at school that day. It outlines everything that needs to be done before the 24th of March. A separate handout will be passed out this week that is a checklist for everything that needs to be included on the science fair display board.

Chapter 4 Test Alert

On Friday, February 7th, we will be having the test over chapter 4 of the science textbook. Study your textbook and your science journal. All of the things we did and the videos we watched are on Edlio as well as two Study Jams that may help you.

Final Science Fair Project Deadlines ONLY.docx

On Thursday, Dec. 12th, I will be presenting the overall science fair project to the students and we will begin work on picking a topic and research question. The attached file shows the various deadlines for all the parts of the project. We will be writing these in our agenda book.

For each part of the project I will be giving the students a specific set of instructions of what to do and how to do it. I will hand these out in class and also put each one into the section on my Edlio page entitled "Science Fair" just under the homework to the right.

Some of the project will be done at school and some will be done at home.

If you have questions at any time during this project, please let me know!
