Hooray! What a good story :)
Thursday-Friday - So what do you think about Nick? He's a good guy but did cause a little trouble when he was younger. Who doesn't right? Was he always respectful? Did he always obey his teacher? Did he challenge Mrs. Granger too? What about Mrs. Granger's perspective of the "Frindle" incident?
Time to prepare your opinion essay to the question, "Is Nick Allen a Troublemaker?
When I look at my notes, I have yes and no evidence to the question. I will prepare a 2 paragraph essay from both points of view. Maybe you have a stronger opinion for yes or no to the question. All perspectives are acceptable as long as you cite evidence from the story to support your opinion. Don't forget to write a strong opening and closing to your composition.
Send published writing to me through the portal. (Check sentences, spelling, punctuation!)
Happy Writing! I am excited to read your opinions.
My hat is off to Olivia, Fernando and Robert for practicing Language Arts and Math I Ready this week. I am monitoring your progress so don't forget to spend about an hour per week on each subject through your I Ready on the portal.
Bonus points if you mention this post at our next meeting:)
Each day's lessons should be reviewed in your math text book. Try the let's practice problems. Once you understand the lesson, work on the pages in the math workbook for each lesson. We will discuss fraction questions through Zoom conferences.

N/D the Denominator tells us how 1 is being divided (how many pieces does it take to make 1) the Numerator tells what we have or don't have.
3/4 means I have 3 out of 4. Think of 3 quarters equalling 75 cents and 4 quarters making 1 dollar.
5/10 is the same as 1/2. Can you explain why?
