Scan and Submit Your Science Journal!
You will have until Monday, 5/11, to scan your journal and email it to me.
INSTRUCTIONS ARE ON MY HOME PAGE AT THE TOP OF THE CENTER FEED.
Make sure it is finished and everything is done well before you submit it.
Please let me know if you have questions and I'm happy to help!

RED CLASS!! Prepare for our Zoom meeting this afternoon!!!
Today in our Zoom class we will be creating a study page together about the three states of matter.
Before you enter our meeting THIS WEEK you need to do one of two things.
Do #1 if you have a printer.
Do #2 if you don't have a printer.
1) Print out the page below and have it ready before the meeting starts OR
2) Reproduce the page below by hand and have it ready before the meeting starts. Use a straightedge so it is neat. Your box does not need to be 3-D - you can just draw a box with the particles inside, spaced out as shown in the pictures.

Density Lab!
Today you are going to have a bit of an experience with density!
If you remember from your reading, density has to do with how tightly packed matter, and the molecules that make that matter, is packed together.
Some materials have molecules that are VERY tightly packed, and others much less so.
We will be focusing on LIQUID DENSITY today.

Begin by printing out the three pages in the two PDFs below OR reproducing them as best you can in your science journal.
You will also need a calculator.
Start by watching the introductory video!
OK...now that you have calculated the densities of each of the liquids and predicted the order in which you think they will stack, watch the video below.
How close were your predictions?
Did the calculations help you make a fairly accurate prediction?

If you want some extra credit in science, choose 5-6 of the liquids used in today's lab and try doing a liquid density stack yourself!
Take a pic and send it to me for the EC!
