Mixtures and Solutions Sort
You have learned that mixtures are similar to solutions in some ways but different in others.
Both are made of two or more different substances.
Mixtures can be be separated again, back into their original parts.
Solutions, however, cannot be separated again because the parts have been evenly distributed or dissolved,
usually at the level of their molecules.

Below are two worksheets to print out.
(If you don't have a printer, set up a similar grid in your science journal. You can write the names of each item in the grid de pending on how you choose to sort them.)
Your job is to sort each one of the 16 substances into the category where they belong;
 either mixture or solution.
Quickly color them, cut them out, glue them onto the chart in their appropriate category,
then glue the chart into your science journal.
The title will be "Mixtures and Solutions Sort".
I will post the answer key tomorrow so you can see if you know your mixtures from your solutions!
