Zoom Session Follow Up - Atoms to Molecules to Compounds
In our Zoom lesson this week we talked about how atoms form molecules, and molecules form compounds.
Finish the chart we began together in your science journal.
Choose 4 easy compounds and 3 challenging compounds to label and draw.
Follow the model in your journal.
Include both the formula and the model for each compound.
Red and Blue class...you may do this after your Zoom session is done.
Complete the other items on this page before you try to complete this assignment.
 
Here is the list of compounds for you to choose from for this assignment.
 
EASY: Water, salt, ammonia, methane, baking soda, sulfuric acid, nitrogen, ethanol, vinegar
CHALLENGING: Glucose, acetic acid, butane, citric acid, octane

Atoms, Molecules, & Compounds Annotation
On Wednesday you printed out a reading passage about Atoms, Molecules, and Compounds.
Glue the reading passage (just one half of the paper; recycle the other half) into your journal.
Annotate the reading passage for the following things...
1) Choose 3-4 less familiar words to highlight
2) Write down 2 pieces of information that surprised you.
3) Write down 4 pieces of information you have heard before.
4) Find one thing that relates to your every day life and write down how it relates or how you use it.
